Provenance: Wadsworth Atheneum, Connecticut; E. Weyhe Gallery, New York, Ella Gallup Sumner and Mary Catlin Sumner Collection. Sold at Christie’s 11/30/1990, #189. Exhibited: Minneapolis, Walker Art Center, A.H. Maurer, September – October 1949, no. 42, (this exhibition later travelled to New York, Whitney Museum of American Art, November – December 1949).
