Pair of Louis XV caned walnut fauteuils a la reine with cartouche backrest with serpentine top rail carved in the crest with floral motif, wood armrests raised on voluted supports, low front seats matching the headrests, and the whole supported on carved cabriole legs stamped J Philippe on top rail, late 18th – early 19th century some holes in caning. Provenance: From prominent Woodbridge, Connecticut family collection.
