A coopered wooden barrel keg-form field canteen with circular opening to the front, retaining an old dark painted surface, stave construction with fitted ends one inscribed “BK”, along with smaller canteen having six bands
height 8 3/4 inches, 8 inches, and 6 inches, respectively
Provenance: Property from a Essex, Connecticut estate
Condition: Surface wear, abrasions, and age cracks; rim wear and scattered losses consistent with age and use.
