Panoramic composition of the British naval blockade of Boston Harbor, featuring numerous warships, transports, and harbor islands, with an “Explanation” cartouche at left identifying key sites including Long Wharf, Castle William, Governor’s Island, and Nantasket. At right, a dedicatory cartouche notes: “To Mr. Thos. Vernon this Perspective View of Boston Harbour, Islands, Ships of War &c, with the Land Troops in ye last Octo. 1768…”, and the work is inscribed within the design, “by his most obt. servt. C. Remick.”
