Objects that no longer advance the educational mission of the Art Gallery have been deaccessioned and authorized for sale. Funds obtained from deaccessions are only used to purchase additional objects for the collection. Chair: History of Art offices, Swartwout Building, Yale University, New Haven, Conn.; transferred to the Yale Art Gallery, New Haven, Conn., 2008. Stand: Guard’s break room, Kahn building; taken to the Furniture Study when the Kahn building closed for renovation.
