The following is sourced from Sotheby’s: Edmund Physick (1726-1804) an Englishman, was Receiver General and Keeper of the Great Seal of the province of Pennsylvania. After the Revolution, he remained as attorney and confidential agent for the Penns. His major concern was the handling of sales of proprietary lands. Physick and his wife, Abigail Syng, were the parents of the noted physician, Philip Syng Physick

Lift Top Blanket Chest, having rectangular top over plain front having band of blind carving over two drawers, set on cutout bracket feet, probably P.A., 18th century, height 27 1/2 inches, top 23 1/4″ x 51 1/2″.
Queen Anne Cherry Highboy, in two parts, upper section having large cornice molding over two drawers, over three drawers set on lower section with one long drawer over three short drawers, all set on cabriole legs with unusual front ball and chain feet, old cracked finish, original brasses, height 71 1/2 inches, width 34 3/4 inches.
Provenance: Probably Connecticut, circa 1750.
Windsor Bench, retaining some original paint, all on turned legs, now with custom cushion, one splat as is, height 34 inches, length 76 inches, width 25 inches.
Mahogany Tall Case Clock, having broken arch top over tombstone dial over glass door, all flanked by spiral columns on plain base with ogee feet, brass and painted dial with rocking ship, works with ships, calendar and second hand, height 96 inches.
Mahogany Brand Mother’s Oriental Dwarf Clock, having shaped painted metal dial and brass works, the case with feet work hood, T shaped door on case with long door, both flanked by brass top fluted 1/4 columns, all set on plain base, weights and pendulum included, height 58 inches.
William & Mary Walnut and Marquetry Tall Clock, having brass dial marked “Daniel Quare, London”, brass works and silvered chapter ring, second and date, square glass having blind carving and marquetry inlaid surround flanked by twisted columns over long door with marquetry or similarly inlaid base, late 17th century, losses to round glass frame, height 6′ 10″.
